Charging papers establish what prosecutors alleged and intended to prove. Keep them labeled as allegations unless a plea, verdict, or finding resolves them.
Victim privacy, grand-jury secrecy, sealed orders, personal data, and illegal material create lawful reasons to withhold text. A black box may hide something important, but its shape does not say what.
The jail failures documented by the Inspector General do not need a murder theory to be grave. Record the failure exactly; do not make its emotional force carry an extra conclusion.
Search is an index, not omniscience: OCR can miss handwriting and poor scans; duplicate productions can inflate counts; redactions can have lawful victim-privacy or grand-jury bases. Log the document ID, page, relationship type, and exact claim before drawing a line.
