Below are six weakened doses. Each is a real manipulation technique, deliberately shown at low strength with its refutation attached, so the full-strength version finds you already resistant. This is the opposite of going viral. Nothing here asks to be shared.
Two doors are offered in a room that has ten. The trick isn't the argument — it's the count. Ask: who benefits from me believing there are only two options?
Any sentence with “either/or” where both options happen to serve the same speaker.
The feeling arrives before the facts do. Outrage is a solvent — it dissolves the part of you that checks. If a claim makes you furious in under two seconds, that speed is the product.

Real scarcity is boring and verifiable. Manufactured scarcity is dramatic and always resets tomorrow. Come back in a day: if the gate is still closing, it was never a gate.
Countdown timers that restart on refresh.
Authority is a claim until it's a credential. Check the age of the account, not the confidence of the voice. A real expert names the study; an impersonator names the suppression.
Near-miss usernames, borrowed logos, and “official” accounts one letter off.
Ask what would change their mind. If absence of evidence counts as evidence, the room has no doors, and the argument was built to be un-leavable rather than true.
Any claim where debunking it is treated as proof of the cover-up.
A crowd is cheap to paint. Count the actual people, not the replies — check whether the agreement is many voices or one voice wearing many coats. Loneliness is the lever being pulled.
Hundreds of accounts with the same phrasing, posted within the same hour.
There is a second room, for one specific artifact: the giant conspiracy map — a thousand names, ten thousand lines, no citations. It is the most reproduced diagram of its kind in the last decade, and it is a masterclass in five techniques at once.
Read these before the chart finds you, not after.
Nobody can check a thousand claims, and the chart is built knowing that. Density is doing the persuading, not evidence — the argument is “surely they can't ALL be wrong.” Uncheckability isn't a flaw in the design. It IS the design. Pick any three nodes at random and try to source them; that's the whole audit.
Any diagram that would take a research team a year to verify and a reader nine seconds to believe.
This is the load-bearing trick of every conspiracy map. A line never says WHAT the relationship is — so a documented transaction, a shared birth year, and a pure invention all get drawn in identical ink. A real network diagram labels its edges. These can't, because labeling them would reveal that most edges have no stated mechanism at all. Ask of any single line: what specifically happened, when, and who recorded it?

Those first items are REAL — declassified, congressionally investigated, documented. That's exactly why they're there. Credibility flows one direction only: the true entries lend their weight to the fabrications beside them, never the reverse. Your correct belief that governments have really done monstrous secret things is the vehicle the lie rides in on. The sorting question isn't “could this be true?” — it's “what KIND of evidence exists?” Real ones have dates, documents, hearings, and endings. The additions have a line and a vibe.
Every “they lied about X, so they're lying about Y” argument, where X is documented and Y is not.
Occasionally the sealed room prints its own blueprint. That sentence — an actual caption on the most-circulated conspiracy chart of the last decade — defines coincidence out of existence, and once coincidence is gone, nothing can ever count as evidence against anything. It's Dose V with the quiet part written down. Its companion instruction, “follow the white rabbit,” is recruitment, not argument.
Any worldview where being unable to find proof is itself the proof.
The “global cabal” genre has a specific ancestor. The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is a PROVEN forgery — The Times of London showed in 1921 that it was plagiarized from Maurice Joly's 1864 satire about Napoleon III, a text with nothing to do with Jewish people. It has been recycled for a century, often with the names swapped for code words: bankers, globalists, the elite. Charts in this genre frequently don't bother swapping at all. The practical tell: when every arrow terminates at one ethnic group or one banking dynasty, you are not looking at research — you are looking at a very old story in a new font. Ask what it's wearing.
“Rothschild” used as a synonym for the world economy; “Khazar” theories; anything citing the Protocols as evidence rather than as a documented forgery.
The most useful dose is the one about this house. In 2011 two researchers, Charlotte Ward and David Voas, named a thing they'd noticed: conspirituality — the weld between the New Age world's focus on the self and the conspiracy world's focus on hidden global power. Its Instagram-native form has a name too: Pastel QAnon.
The documented drift goes: wellness content → anti-establishment content → conspiracy hashtags → a sudden enormous spike in engagement → monetizing the new audience. Nobody has to be argued into anything. The algorithm simply pays much better for one kind of post than the other, and the reward gradient does the rest.
